本属は本種のみを含む。本州、九州及び南西諸島から記録されおり、世界の熱帯・亜熱帯を中心に広く分布する。各種の植物上に生息し、カイガラムシやコナジラミなど小型節足動物を捕食する。東南アジアでは特にタケ類に多く生息する。

This genus is monotypic. It has been recorded from Honshu, Kyushu and the Ryukyu Islands, and is widely distributed mainly in the tropics and subtropics of the world. It lives on various plants and preys on small arthropods, such as scale insects and whiteflies. In Southeast Asia, it is abundant on bamboos.
